Experiencing pain in the back of your foot?

Have you been experiencing pain in the back of your foot? If so, the cause may very well be Achilles tendinitis. Hi, I’m Daria Nichiforova at DeLoor Podiatry Associates. Today one of our pediatric surgeons, Doctor Vu Nguyen, is here to tell us about Achilles tendinitis and how to effectively treat it. Doctor Nguyen, how does someone know that they may have an Achilles tendonitis?

Dr. Vue: Well, first you need to know where’s the Achilles tendons located? Achilles tendon is actually a thick, tough band of tissue that connect the calf muscle to the back of the heel bone. If you have pain to the back of your heel, you probably have a symptom of Achilles tendonitis.
